I am just like you. Another guy that finds every reason to not work out. A guy that has one good and healthy day of eating and is convinced that he/she is losing weight I look in the mirror and wait, wait for my muscles to spontaneously appear, wait for something to make me want to get in shape. I buy lottery tickets. I look at overweight people and tell myself I am lucky not to be them. I see people in shape and pick out reasons why they look bad. I am like you. Envious.
Or at least that is what I once was. Just another weight-lifting d-bag that could possibly find a comfortable home somewhere on Jersey Shore.
I recently made the decision to stop "being that guy."
It is 2011. This is NOT a new years resolution. It is just another day on the calendar for the majority of the world, but for me, it is a change. A change from crappy eating, a change from excuses, and a change from being a slacker. At 30 I am lucky to use the word "young" but as I transition into middle-age I find it crucial that I set up appropriate habits so that I can live a healthy life!
